UW-Madison's Japanese Program comprises teaching and research covering Japanese language, linguistics, literature, cultural studies, and visual culture. We offer an undergraduate major in Japanese Language & Literature (BA or BS), an undergraduate certificate in Professional Japanese Communication, and graduate programs in both linguistics and literature/culture tracks (MA and PhD).
