UW-Sponsored Study Abroad Programs
Study Abroad in China
Students may receive resident credit for study abroad through multiple programs sponsored by the department. Students can choose a program that runs during the summer term, fall or spring term or for the full academic year. Programs include the CIEE Beijing Intensive Language program, the CIEE Chinese Language and Culture program, the exchange program at Tsinghua University, the summer Intensive Language program in Tianjin, the summer China History program, and the Beijing Honors program. Study Abroad in Japan
Students may receive resident credit for study abroad through four programs sponsored by the department: the Year Abroad program at Nanzan University in Nagoya; the Year Abroad program at Hokkaido University in Sapporo; the Year Abroad program at Sophia University in Tokyo; the Year Abroad program at Keio University in Tokyo. Study Abroad in Korea
Students may receive resident credit for study abroad through programs sponsored by the department and the Center for East Asian Studies in Seoul, South Korea. These programs include fall, spring, summer and academic year options at Ewha Woman’s University, Yonsei University, and Korea University. Study Abroad in Taiwan
Students may receive residence credit for study abroad through programs sponsored by the department and the Center for East Asian Studies at three different universities in Taipei, Taiwan. These programs include spring, summer and academic year options at National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University and National Taiwan Normal University.
